A question about the last full measure of C.P.E. Bach's
"Solfeggietto":

In the version that I'm working from, the last 8 notes are smaller
than all the other notes, seeming to indicate that they might have
been added by a subsequent editor and not by C.P.E. himself.

The last regular-sized note is on the 3rd beat of the last full
measure, a "C" two octaves above middle C. Following it are 8
additional 16th notes descending to and ending on middle C.

Can someone please enlighten me as to the authenticity of those last 8
notes?

Thanks.

The sheet music I have for the piece also has the ending that runs down to
middle C. I have no idea if it's how the piece was originally written, or a
later editorial addition.
