I recently purchased a partially unplayable disc on Amazon. The
recording artist is Angela Hewitt. Nothing looked flawed on the disc,
but I think I'd rather try another label than buy another of the same.
I have the Gould recordings, but I'm looking for someone along the
lines of Schiff or Turek. Not too picky. I don't have that fine an
ear. But I do want a first rate interpretation. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.

Schiff's recording on Philips is excellent. Despite her reputation, I've
always found Tureck's playing wooden, dull, and thoroughly unimaginative. I
don't think a complete recording of the French Suites by her is available,
anyhow.

I prefer Glenn Gould (Glenn Gould Edition, Sony, 1973/74)

I prefer Gustav Leonhardt (recorded somewhere in the 70s, now
available in the Gustav Leonhardt edition on DHM)

I also detest topposting and topposters.
