I've just cooked up an online appreciation of Bach for the non-
specialist (it includes "follow-along" notated examples). A short
excerpt is available at www.whybach.com . If you decide you'd like to
see more of the book (entitled "Why Bach?"), for a limited time I'll
give members of this group a free, permanent login; just email me at
***@hotmail.com and indicate that you saw this post. If you have
a look at the excerpt or the book, I hope you enjoy (and would be very
