Does anyone have any information concerning the keyboard Fantasy in G
minor, BWV 920? A long time ago, I used to play the piece. I really
enjoyed it. Recently, I've seen the work described as spurious. Does
anyone know if the work is, in fact, spurious, and, if so, who composed
it? Also, who determined it was spurious and why? How did it get
included in the BWV catalog? Also, can anyone recommend a recording of
the work? I've found one CD: http://www.baroquecds.com/732Web.html,
but am interested in other recordings. It is not included in the
complete Hanssler edition of Bach's works. Thanks very much.

I don't know much about the piece, but apparently its connection to Bach is
so tenuous that hardly anyone performs or records it.

If you can read German, check out
